Instructions for Authors
Procedure for Submission

Abstracts must be submitted via this website. Faxed or emailed abstracts will not be considered.

Submissions should be done by the authors online by registering with www.sciforum.net, and using the "Submit New Submission" function once logged into system.

Important Notifications of Submission

  1. Please notice the submission deadline is 30 November 2021. You will be notified by 20 December 2021 about the acceptance for poster presentation.
  2. After submission, your abstracts will be assessed. You will be notified by 20 December 2021 in a separate email about the acceptance for poster presentation of 3-5 minutes, or oral presentation in a session of 10-15 minutes, both via the platform of Zoom. Then you can reply to us with your decision on the acceptance.
  3. All abstracts accepted for presentation will be collected in a book of abstracts, which will be published on the website after conference.

Detailed Requirements of Authors

  1. Please note the submitting author will receive all correspondence about the abstract. Thus, the submitting author’s details are supposed to be the same as those of the presenting author.
  2. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the abstract.
  3. The presenting author must be listed as the first author. If invited for a possible consideration for the journal Remote Sensing, author positions can be changed.

Detailed Requirements of Submissions

  1. Submitted abstracts should include non-published data.
  2. Please submit symbols as words. The word limit for an abstract is 250--500.
  3. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for a review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
  4. You may submit more than 1 abstract. However, presenters that are accepted for oral presentation will be permitted to give only 1 oral presentation.
Abstract Submission Requirements

Abstracts should be prepared in MS Word. Please use the The 4th International Electronic Conference on Remote Sensing Microsoft Word template file (download below). Do not insert any graphics (schemes, figures, etc.) into a movable frame which can superimpose the text and make the layout very difficult.

Oral Presentations

Short talks will be 15 min long including questions (12+3 Q&A). The typical presentation should be up to 10–12-minute talk.

All presentations must be sent to the conference secretariat in advance so that, in case you are encountering technical difficulties, we could share your slides to the audience.

Publication Opportunities

A selection of invited and contributed talks presented during the conference will be invited to submit a full version of their papers after the conference to the Journal Remote Sensing (Impact Factor (2020), 4.848, 5-Year Impact Factor (2020): 5.353; Top Open Access Journal in Remote Sensing) with a 20% discount on the APCs.

Authors are asked to disclose that it is an extended version of the ECRS-4 conference paper in their cover letter, if that is the case. Expanded and high-quality papers in the conference can be considered articles if they fulfill the following requirements:

(1) The paper should be expanded to the size of a research article;

(2) The conference paper should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper. Remote Sensing does not publish pilot studies or studies with inadequate statistical power.
